Carers Trust Heart of England have partnered with HOPE 4 The Community to run further group courses to support carers across Coventry and Warwickshire.
The Hope Programme is a free 6-week online self-management programme for carers to help them cope with life post lockdown - to help them feel more in control and more resilient.
Each week the course covers topics like:
The course includes quizzes, worksheets, audio and video materials, interactive activities and social networking via email and forums. Participants are supported throughout by trained facilitators.
Carers can complete the course at their own pace at a time that suits them best.
Pilot courses have been delivered with carers and many found the course helped them to feel better and improved their quality of life. This is what they said:
“I learnt that I'm not the only one and many have similar issues as me. I struggled to find the time to look after myself.” “I am now able to recognise my own strengths and have techniques to help me stick to my plan.”
“It's given me a much better outlook on my life and I now feel that I am able to look forward with more determination and hope.”
Next course date: 7th June 2021 - ONLINE
