We are thrilled to announce the launch of our ‘Coventry Day Break’ service which begins Tuesday 16th January.

Daybreak will offer a safe space for people with a range of care and support needs (including dementia) to socialise and access recreational and reablement activities, which are run by highly skilled, qualified healthcare professionals, in a friendly environment.

The weekly service offers respite to carers, enabling those they care for to enjoy 5 hours of activities and support tailored to their needs. As a carer you are welcome to stay with your cared for and participate in activities or can use the time to relax, go to the gym or do whatever else it is that you enjoy doing in your spare time!

The aim of the service is not only to give those with support needs a supportive and engaging outlet but also to support carers in enabling them to take a break whilst being reassured that the person they care for is being well looked after.

Sessions will be held every Tuesday from the 16^th January 2024 at The Dementia Hub, Everdon Road, Coventry, CV6 4DT.

Sessions run from 10am until 3pm and the cost includes a hot meal/snack and refreshments.

Booking is essential and block bookings can be made.

We offer a range of activities which will be influenced by the needs and wants of the people who are attending including:

• Tabletop games and puzzles
• Quizzes
• Arts and Crafts
• Singing and Music
• Gentle/Seated Exercise
• Memory Activities
• Reminiscence
• Live Entertainment
• Themed Sessions e.g., Wellbeing, Cooking, Food and Mood
• Opportunities for carer and cared for sessions, including intergenerational opportunities.
• We may also on occasion arrange day trips and outings (at an additional cost).
