We all need caring for at some point in our life. If you look after someone you love or care about, you may not consider yourself a carer. Caring is something we do as parents, partners, children, sisters, brothers and friends, often without question, or the need for a label.
It could be a 15 year old girl looking after a parent with an alcohol problem. It might be a man caring for his partner who has a terminal cancer diagnosis. Or it might be an 80 year old woman looking after her husband with Dementia. 1 in 10 of us are already an unpaid carer with 63% of carers having their own health problems.
We’re here to help them access the support they are entitled to as a carer so they can look after their own wellbeing, living a healthy, fulfilling life alongside their caring role.
Research in 2022 estimates the number of unpaid carers could be as high as 10.6 million. We
estimate there are 74,000 carers across Coventry and Warwickshire who don’t recognise themselves as a carer, or know we’re here to support them.
If you haven't please register yourself as a carer via our Referral Form or email contactus@carerstrustheofe.org.uk or 024 7663 2972 option 1.
