We are excited to announce the launch of our Bear 2 Care Competition! Sponsored by Coventry Building Society, the initiative is encouraging young people to design a bear that showcases just what it means to be a young carer.
The competition winner will see their design brought to life with the creation of a life size teddy bear costume, which will be used as a mascot at all of our upcoming awareness days. The People's Angels team at CBS will cast their eyes over all entries before carefully selecting a winner, and they are incredibly excited to see the positive effect the collaboration has now, and in the future.
"We at People Angels are honoured to collaborate with the Young Carers team to strengthen community connections and bring meaningful projects to life. Together Kate, Lauren, Jodie, Kelly, Portia & Erin have worked towards a shared vision of creating a mascot for the Bear to Care campaign. Securing this grant marks an important milestone in that journey, and we are privileged to contribute to an initiative that will deliver a lasting and positive impact."

Young carers can work on their designs both at home and at group sessions, where they will also be able to brainstorm ideas and discuss what it means to be a young carer. We are also keen for schools to get involved, and encourage pupils to consider what it means to be a young carer and work on designs to reflect this.
To get involved please print the design template below, get creative and send us your submissions! You can send submissions via post or email to the below addresses.
