Human Resources Administration Assistant – Coventry

Role:   Carers Trust Heart of England is a busy charity and has gone through substantial growth in recent years.  Future planning requires an increase in staffing levels across the organisation.  We, therefore require a committed Human Resources Administration Assistant to support the Human Resources (HR) Coordinator and Head of Operations to assist in the daily Human Resource requirements of the organisation.  Facilitating a smooth and timely recruitment process for new staff to ensure all statutory and organisational requirements are met, to provide excellent standards of customer service through recruitment. You will be working from our Coventry office.

Job Title:            Human Resources Administration Assistant

Salary:                £15,392 pro rata at £8.00 per hour

Hours:                 18 hours per week worked equally over 4 weekdays

Duties Include

  • Assist with all aspects of recruitment administration including on-line recruitment
  • Processing application forms
  • Book interviews
  • Request references and undertake Disclosure and Barring Service checks with new members of staff
  • Respond to reference requests from other companies
  • Assist with telephone enquiries
  • Maintain employee records both paper and digitally based
  • To ensure compliance and develop knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements specific to employment law and the care sector
  • Printing and collation of interview packs and induction folders
  • Assist the HR Coordinator with staff letters
  • Assist the HR Coordinator and Head of Operations as required
    • Liaise with Communication Coordinator to undertake internal communications
    • Monitor recruitment to identify best options

Applicants must have:

  • Proficient ability to work with Microsoft packages and able to work with bespoke software packages
  • Excellent oral communication and written composition skills
  • Experience of building successful professional relationships
  • Ability to exercise diplomacy, tact and sensitivity dependent on the staff members circumstance and conversation
  • Ability to follow current recruitment procedure and also seek opportunities for recruitment improvement
  • Respond positively to change and enjoy the challenge of multitasking
  • Ability to work on own initiative and be able to plan in advance to allow for possible changes of circumstance
  • Ability to work methodically and accurately on administrative tasks
  • Work collaboratively with the other staff members accepting different perspectives of colleagues and be able to modify behaviour accordingly
  • Work productively under pressure
